Article 43-certification process overview will be on Sept 27^th in Boston. Frank Leone from alliance will present the overview to CWA/AT&T on the 27^th, and then we will do an orientation with all members. DVP don O’Brien, DVP Fran Maher, stewards Skip Manning and Bob Hatch as well as myself will attend.

Local elections are underway; nomination papers will be mailed to DVP/stewards on Friday September 23, and the nomination period will end on Oct 12. If you are interested in running for any office, you need to file nomination papers. The ballots will be mailed on Oct 21^st, and need to be returned by Nov 7^th. Any ballot received after the 7^th, will be void. The election committee will count all Ballots on November 8^th. If anyone has any questions, please call the election committee at 508-961-1405.

There will be an executive board meeting on October 20^th, followed by a General Membership meeting. CWA Vice President Ralph Maly will attend this meeting, so you won’t want to miss it. Ralph will discuss the AT&T/SBC merger, upcoming bargaining and answer questions from members.

Negotiations have completed in the town of Ayer, Westford, and Littleton. We are just waiting for ratification vote on the contracts. Special thanks to all the stewards involved, it could not have been done without you.
