Happy fall to one and all! There have been lots of questions pertaining to the bargaining process and we are happy to give you the latest news.
The last bargaining session was held on Sept. 20th and at last we are ready to schedule a membership meeting for the Town of Westford CWA members.
The membership meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 5th in the meeting room at the Fletcher Library from 4pm to 6pm. Mark your calendars and stop by for the details on the contract changes and have some pizza and soda with us.
The contract ratification vote will take place on Thursday October 6th in the meeting room at the Fletcher Library from 2:30pm to 4:30pm. This is your contract and your vote is extremely important. Please take the time to exercise your right to vote.
Also, it’s election time again for all CWA elected positions. Election and nomination information has been posted in Town Hall and on union boards in various departments. We strongly encourage any member that is interested in becoming Chief Steward or Steward to get your nomination process going. If you have any questions or need help with the process feel free to contact any one of the Stewards listed below.
There have also been questions about the insurance open enrollment time for the Town employees. Per the email memo that was sent out, the new open enrollment period for all insurances will be from October 1st to October 31st. The effective date will be November 1st. For additional information on insurance, please contact the Human Resource Department.
