Hi All,
The CWA contract for 2005 thru 2008 is being delivered today, 11/3/05. Please take the time to review and know your contract.
The new pay rates will go into effect (should be on your time sheet) starting November 27th.
On December 8th you will receive a check for your new rate in addition to a check with your retro pay.
Per Human Resources, all retro information must be submitted to Payroll by Nov. 21st.
The retro pay must be submitted in a separate batch from the regular payroll in order for the checks to be cut separately.
We can now process any Longevity and Stipends that have not already been paid to employees for FY 2006, again, these must be processed in a separate batch for all employees that have not already received it for the current fiscal year.
With respect to our benefits:
The “my benergy” website is no longer being used, instead, for questions pertaining to insurances, please go to the Town website which is www.westford-ma.gov and click on Human Resources, there you will find info, forms and rates for our benefits. The “voluntary” Short Term & Long Term disability information is not on the site, if you have any questions pertaining to those, please contact the Human Resource Dept.
All CWA members should now be working with their Dept. Heads on the new job descriptions that are being put in place. Sample formats have been distributed by the HR Dept. Once completed, the Dept. Head, Town Manager, Union Steward and HR Director will have to sign off on them and we will finally have approved job descriptions.
